Last week, Stella McCartney unveiled a preview of her Autumn 2011 collection in Manhattan. New York Girl Style editor Daniela Cabrera covered the event, hosted at a gorgeous townhouse on Hudson Street, located in the stylish Meatpacking District. As always, McCartney came through with a number of lust-worthy pieces that are sure to be all the rage next fall.
The collection includes styles for a range of occasions, from cozy knits to luxurious coats as well as stunning cocktail dresses.
Oversized sweaters look new again layered over brightly colored blouses that add a more put together feel to the look.
Neutral colors will remain a staple and camel coats don’t appear to be going anywhere for Fall 2011. Loose-fitting, slightly androgynous coats and body conscious sheaths look like the ideal fall work uniform for the fashionable career woman.
Lacy cocktail dresses look sexy and sophisticated for evening. Sheer paneling and high necklines keep the look edgy yet elegant.
All of the models were seen sporting sleek, center-parted straight hair and minimal make-up. The more natural styling complimented the event’s location and low-key yet inviting environment. The models could even be found roasting s’mores by the fireplace, proving that with the right outfit, any activity can be ultra-chic.
